- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers

When visitors interact with chatbots you create using Alma:
- Conversation logs and messages
- Basic session data (timestamps, page visited)
- Any information the visitor voluntarily provides
Important: You are the data controller for information collected through your chatbots. You are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notices to your end users.

We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process payments and manage subscriptions

- Analytics data: Aggregated data retained indefinitely; identifiable data deleted after 26 months

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Deletion: Request deletion of your data

5.1 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings or by contacting support. Deletion removes your account data, bot configurations, and conversation logs within 30 days.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data
- Regular security assessments
- Access controls and authentication
- Secure data centers (via Render)
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
8. Children's Privacy
Alma is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
9. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:

10. Your Responsibilities as a Bot Creator
When you use Alma to create chatbots, you are responsible for:
- Providing privacy notices to your end users
- Obtaining necessary consents for data collection
- Complying with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Handling data subject requests from your end users
- Not collecting sensitive personal information without appropriate safeguards
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
12. Data Deletion (Facebook/Instagram)
If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Alma, you can request deletion of your data by:
- Email us at alma@huntercreativemedia.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the email address or Facebook/Instagram username associated with your account
- We will delete your data within 30 days and confirm via email
You can also remove Alma's access to your account:
- Facebook: Go to Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove Alma
- Instagram: Go to Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove Alma
